About Ben Mwesigwa

Ben Mwesigwa is a Research and Planning officer at the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).

He is a part time football coach at Cradle Youth Program that specializes in teaching students the basics of football and being excellent and exemplary citizens.

Ben has coaching experience of working with young ladies through his time coaching Vienna College Namugongo ladies in 2016, working with young players through his time coaching the U-17’s and working with elite players through his time with the Maroons FC senior team in UPL and the FUFA big league from June 2015 to January 2018.

He holds a CAF B coaching certificate and as the head coach of Maroons FC U-17, his team won the fair play award for the 2015-16 FJL season.

Besides football coaching, Ben knows football performance analysis, football scouting and, football governance.

Currently pursuing a diploma in Advanced Sports Management at the Uganda Olympic Committee.

He writes blogs about developing Ugandan football in my thoughts section of this website.

He is currently working on starting a football school that will run on a comprehensive football syllabus to teach youngsters football basics and to work as an individual coach for professional players seeking to improve on their football performance attributes.

Ben offers consultancy services to help football clubs in Uganda to become professional and self-sustainable through strategic management.

It’s based on this knowledge that he designed the Futsal Association of Uganda’s club licensing template ahead of the 2019-20 Futsal Super League.
